Mainbeam Seed Company was founded by Biologist and Wildlife Consultant, Jacob Turner. After using the “other” seed company brands for years, Jacob quickly realized that the seed being packaged and shipped from these companies in other parts of the country originated from his own backyard, the Pacific Northwest. So the thought crossed his mind to eliminate the middleman and start his own food plot seed company. Mainbeam Seed Company was created to provide seed from the Pacific Northwest with mixes created for hunters and outdoorsmen across the Western United States. With Mainbeam Seed Company, you can expect quality seeds with a quality price designed with the Western Sportsman in mind.

At Mainbeam Seed Company, we stand out from others in the food plot seed industry for multiple reasons. The biggest reason, and the reason we started the business is to source seed mostly from the Pacific Northwest and create mixes to be successful in the Western United States. Most food plot seed companies are based in the MidWest or Southeast, and tailor their mixes to be successful in those regions. That just doesn’t always work for us “Westerners”.
The second reason, one we take pride in, is that we do not use “fillers”. We believe when you buy a 10lb bag of seed, you should be receiving 10lbs of quality seed, not 7.5 lbs of seed and 2.5 lbs of fillers (coatings, inoculants, etc.) Our seeds boast an average germination rate between 87%-97%, we believe it is more important to provide quality seed, than seed that needs a “chemical jumpstart”.

Jacob Turner is the Owner of Mainbeam Seed Company and Mainbeam Wildlife Consulting. After graduating from Washington State University in 2011 with a degree in Natural Resources Management, Jacob pursued a career in Fisheries Management, working for the Quileute Tribe on Washington’s west coast. After working a dream job for 4.5 years, he had the opportunity to move his family back home to eastern Washington to work as a Habitat Manager for the Spokane Tribe. In 2017, Jacob started Mainbeam Wildlife Consulting to help manage habitat for local landowners across eastern Washington and northern Idaho. After testing out many other food plot mixes and seed from other companies across the US, Jacob decided to try his hand at creating some of his own blends of seed. In the fall of 2021, Jacob was able to step away from his day job as a Habitat Manager for the Tribe and Mainbeam Seed Company was born. Jacob enjoys planting food plots and seeing the results from clients all over the Pacific Northwest.
